Stress is an inherent and necessary aspect of life. It promotes our evolution, reveals our capabilities, and motivates us to stretch ourselves into more of who we are. In fact, without stress, there would be no growth, no life. From the body’s perspective, stress is a lifesaver! Yet, we experience various levels of discomfort when our stress response is no longer appropriate or we can’t shut it off. Common life situations such as work, care of self and others, health, family dynamics, and financial stablity are often at the root of repetitive stress. Our bodies work very hard, often walking the razor’s edge, to respond and recover from these shape-shifting influences.
Maintaining a sense of balance amidst the change and uncertainty of modern life requires resilience and adaptability. We are designed for this! Our nervous system is literally hardwired to our body, mind, and emotions and acts as both a shock absorber and a solutions manager. What we must consider is that our perception informs our response. The subconscious mind is a major player in our patterns of stress response, which often begins in utero and early childhood. These patterns linger and are easily activated throughout the course of a lifetime; therefore, they must be revealed, understood, and leveraged to promote health and well-being.
In this class, we will explore the relationship of stress, perception, epigenetics, childhood, trauma, environment, lifestyle, dis-ease, and aging so that we may utilize the wisdom of body, mind, and spirit. You will learn simple techniques to reduce damaging stress levels and actionable solutions to creating a healthy and restorative life.

Our nervous system is affected by today’s world in ways we are not accustomed to; our neurological responses are heightened due to unparalleled stressors. Uncertainty will often default the nervous system to fight, flight, or freeze; yet engagement, which may lead to greater cooperation, more effective participation, and increased co-creative problem solving, may be the preferred response. Now more than ever, we need to be aware of our autonomic nervous system, and in particular, the vagus nerve and its role in our physiological and psychological decision making processes.
This presentation is an in-depth view of the autonomic nervous system with an emphasis on the polyvagal/social engagement system. You will learn about the new science, which explicitly describes the three major aspects of this system and how they control our physiology, psychology and subtle energy systems. Simple and practical exercises and activities will be presented as a way to assess and work with this vital aspect in our day to day lives.
This class is open to anyone interested in learning about the polyvagal system and how to bring about more balance within their own nervous system. No Esoteric Healing background necessary - just an open mind and a computer!

In this class, we will work with specific Esoteric Healing protocols that treat aspects of the polyvagal system, ranging from social engagement to spiritual engagement. This system is unique to humanity. The vagus nerve, its centerpiece, has evolved in ways that allow for intuitive insight and group awareness. It holds the key to new ways of living that are crucial for navigating the world we live in today. This incredible nerve complex not only connects us to our personal experiences, but it also serves as a vehicle for our participation in humanity’s evolutionary process. The traditional protocols for the nervous system offered by Esoteric Healing texts must be expanded to account for recent scientific discoveries, as well as the challenges and opportunities of our ever-changing lives on Earth.
This class is for practitioners and students of Esoteric Healing who have completed Level 3 or 4 of Esoteric Healing, through the INEH or NAEH. This session will be comprised of presentation, discussion, and practice of Esoteric Healing techniques, which address the nervous system in great detail.
