The chart of the energetic constitution of the human being has been used by esotericists for more than a century to map out the descent of spirit into matter and, conversely, the ascent of consciousness through matter into spirit. Though the traditional diagram looks complicated and abstract (we've kindly simplified the image here), we live this map's terrain every moment of our waking lives... and beyond!
